Cause
Proceeds from the Ladysmith Festival of Lights 50/50 raffle directly support one of Vancouver Island’s most cherished community events.
Funds raised go toward:
Refurbishing and replacing thousands of Christmas lights displayed throughout downtown Providing live entertainment and family-friendly programming during Light Up Night Covering essential operating costs required to host a safe event for tens of thousands of visitors Investing in critical safety infrastructure such as crowd control systems
In 2026, a major priority is replacing approximately 120 aging wooden barricades. The current units are heavy, deteriorating, and increasingly difficult to deploy. Modern lightweight plastic barricades will improve safety, reduce volunteer strain, speed up setup, and provide a more professional and consistent look across the event footprint. By purchasing a 50/50 ticket, you are not only entering to win — you are directly contributing to the sustainability and growth of the Ladysmith Festival of Lights for years to come.
